Privacy Policy — Home Assistant Nest Integration

This private application connects the owner’s Google Nest devices to a self-hosted Home Assistant server.
Information accessed
The application may access:
Nest device names and configuration
Thermostat status, temperature and operating mode
Device events and availability
OAuth credentials required to maintain the connection
How information is used
Information is used solely to display, control and automate the owner’s Nest devices through Home Assistant.
Storage and retention
OAuth credentials and relevant device history are stored on the owner’s private Home Assistant server. Information is retained according to that server’s configuration and can be deleted by removing the integration.
Sharing
Information is not sold, rented or shared with third parties. It is used only by the owner’s private home-automation system.
Security and access
Access is restricted to the owner’s Google account and private Home Assistant installation. Google access can be revoked through Google Account permissions.
Use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
